Are Nutra Pack vitamins good?

Patricia asks:

Are nutra pack vitamins good?

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

I am not familiar with the brand “Nutra Pack”, however, I do feel that when you are choosing a multiple formula that a powder like ALL ONE is far superior to a handful of hard pressed pills and tablets. Pills and tablets are loaded with binders, fillers, lubricants and coating agents … all non nutritive additives. ALL ONE formulas are pure nutrition, nothing else. Easy to take and easier to assimilate.

Here is something I wrote about choosing the “best” vitamin brand:

Should I take D2-D3 type of Vitamin D?

James asks:

With all the new info regarding Vitamin D3, why do you use D2 or the synthetic version in your Green Formula that I take? Thanks

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

We use the D2 form in our ALL ONE Green Phyto Base because it is the only certified vegan form of vitamin D.

ALL vitamin D is synthesized.

D3 from lambs wool, or fish oil, which is not suitable for a vegan diet.

As far as your body is concerned the two different forms of Vitamin D are identical.

While Vitamin D3 is all getting lots of press right now ponder this quote from The Science and Practice of Pharmacy

“Both Vitamin D2 and D3 are precursors (pro-vitamins) and are converted to THE SAME active metabolites, which are responsible for the absorption of calcium.” – Kemington; The Science and Practice of Pharmacy, 19th Edition, 1995 pg. 1111 (emphasis added)

In a few months we will be using vitamin D3 in our ALL ONE Active Senior and ALL ONE Original formulas as vegetarians do not object to a lambs wool source.

Hope this addresses your question.

Is there an All One stress formula?

Lucia asks:

Hello, I read the intro about your dad creating the first anti-stress formula based on Adelle Davis’ work. Do you still sell a product for anti-stress? Thanks. Lucia

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

A lot has been learned since my Dad and Adelle introduced the first stress formula in the early 50′s

The main thing is that if you are deficient in one nutrient you are most likely deficient in many.

Therefore, I would recommend a comprehensive multiple formula like ALL ONE to combat the ravages of stress.

Here’s a little something I wrote recently on stress vitamins and supplements.

ALL ONE Active Seniors or ALL ONE Green Phyto Base

Ed asks:

Been on All One Active Seniors for years. Good stuff but considering Phyto base.
Question about Iron in that I’m 71. Many thanks.- Ed

The Vitamin Professor Responds

Both ALL ONE Active Seniors and ALL ONE Green Phyto Base are great multiples. The green formula does contain 9 mg of Iron. However, this is the Iron that is naturally occurring in the green foods. The Senior formula is Iron free.

You may wish to alternate Green one day Senior the next.

Many of our long time customers do just that.

Is Bright Yellow Urine ok?

Michelle asks:

I was given this product by someone. Never heard of the product and after reading about the product i began taking it. I’m now acquiring information on the internet about the product. I had major surgery six months ago now i’m fighting off cold after cold. My immune system is low. After taking product for two days i’ve seen my urine has become more yellow than usual. Is that okay. I’m taking the Green Phyto Base.

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

The bright yellow urine is a GOOD sign. It means your body has an abundance of B vitamins. Urine runs clear when your body is using more B vitamins than you are receiving from the foods you eat or the supplements you take.

Here are some blog post on bright yellow urine.

Bless your friend who led you to ALL ONE!

Good luck and wishes for a successful, total recovery.

Too much Vitamin C in Senior Formula?

Jeanne asks:

I’m interested in all-one but wonder how much Vit C is in the all-one senior. I have Crohn’s disease and too much vit C causes diarrhea. Iron is also a problem for me due to the fact that I carry hemochromatosis genes.

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

ALL ONE Active Senior has 1,000 mg per dose (15 grams).

This should not be a problem because it is found in combination with a whole host of other vitamins, minerals, amino acids (protein) and other various food factors.

However, if you find, with your special condition, that that dose does cause diarrhea then simply reduce the amount of powder you use per serving. You can take a half dose (7.5 grams) and it is still a complete high potency balanced formula.

Do you recommend a test for Vitamin-Minerals Levels?

Mimi asks:

How does a person know which vitamins and minerals they are deficient in or have too much of. What do you think about blood tests for Vitamin & Minerals. What do you think about hair tests for Vitamin & Mineral tests? THANK YOU – Mimi

The Vitamin Professor Responds:

We don’t have a test to measure vitamin levels.

There are blood tests you can get that will measure vitamin levels. Hair analysis is good for checking mineral levels.

Personally, I recommend, you choose a good comprehensive multiple formula (any of our ALL ONE Multiples qualify) and begin taking it on a regular basis. That should bring all your nutrient levels into balance.

If after a while you are still curious, or not feeling well, I would recommend contacting a doctor who is familiar with alternative medicine and have them run what tests they feel are necessary.
