Welcome!
My name is Doug Ingoldsby, AKA, “the Vitamin Professor”. As the founder of ALL ONE Supplements, I have worked in the vitamin and nutrition industry for almost 40 years now. I know it well.
Ask any question in the comments below and I will respond. I am not a doctor so I will not answer questions pertaining to any specific disease or medical condition. I suggest you speak with your family doctor regarding these.
As long as it is related to vitamins, supplements and nutrition in general, no topic is taboo. Select questions and answers may be included in the general blog site (only your first name will be shown).
So ask away!

Why do you use calcium carbonate in your all-one product instead of calcium citrate which is supposed to be better?
Hi Emily – A quick rundown on Calcium:
http://all-one.com/blog/all-calcium-is-created-equal-in-the-bloodstream/
I am female & 60 yrs young and want an organic powdered vitamin to mix with water that tastes good. I don’t see anything touting the fact that these are organic. Are they? If not, how many pesticides and/or chemicals ARE used? ….Also, which one of your products do I use ? My only health concern is hypothyroidism. My husband would also like to use them – no health issues for him. Thank you so much.
Suzanne, Your doctor can address the hypothyroidism. ALL ONE formulas are pure nutrient powders. They contain no binders, fillers, lubricants or coating agents found in all compressed tablets. Each high potency formula is in a base of natural food proteins and other food co-factors (e.g. Citrus Bioflavonoids). They are pesticide free and suitable for vegetarians. The Rice Base, Kids, Green Phyto Base & Fruit Antioxidant base ALL ONE’s are suitable for vegans. ALL ONE is pure nutrition and nothing else. The choice of which ALL ONE is the one for you is yours to make.
I’d like to know why the ratio of calcium to magnesium is not the usual 2:1 or even 1:1. . I bought the product without noticing that the calcium was 1,113 mg with only 200 mg. of magnesium per serving. Now I feel as if I must go out and buy extra magnesium to make the supplement more balanced. I would appreciate knowing the reason you’ve formulated it this way. Thank you, Sharon
Hi Sharon, While in theory 2 to 1 Magnesium to Calcium) sounds workable when it comes to application in formulation it can create problems. Consumers want measurable amounts of Calcium in their daily multiple (often more than 1,000 mg) Magnesium in high doses causes diarrhea (think ‘Milk of Magnesia’). So while it is easy to find a Magnesium powder that you could add to your ALL ONE to suit your needs I am afraid we would experience a large amount of “consumer resistance” – ‘;o) – if those higher doses of Magnesium were part of our regular formulation. As a side note larger amounts of Magnesium would also negatively effect the taste, an important consideration with ALL ONE as we use no flavorings or sweeteners to mask the taste. Hope this helps.
what is the best juice to mix all one with and when is the best time to take it?
There is no “best” juice to mix your ALL ONE. We leave that to your personal choice.
Rule of thumb you want to avoid hot beverages and carbonated juices. You can mix ALL ONE in rice milk, soy milk or any liquid you prefer.
We add no flavorings or sweeteners so that way ALL ONE takes on the flavor of the beverage you choose.
Most folks have their ALL ONE in the morning to begin their day. The protein, vitamins and minerals are a good way to begin your daily activities. That being said, you can take ALL ONE at anytime of the day. A number of people have their ALL ONE shake around 10 am, a time when our energy begins to fade.
Remember that ALL ONE mixes best when shaken, not stirred. This makes for the most consistent smooth drink. If you use a blender that is also a fine way to mix your ALL ONE.
My daughter is gluten, dairy and soy intolerant. The childrens vitamin states dairy free and gluten free. Does it contain any soy products? If it contains soy, are there any of your other formulas that do not contain soy products. Thank you for your response. Jan
Dear Jan,
ALL ONE Kids is Gluten and Dairy free.
While it does contain 175 mg of Lecithin which is derived from soy. Soy Lecithin is free of the common Soy allergens. Here is some information explaining that most soy allergens come from soy ‘protein’ and are not found in Lecithin:

Hope you find this information helpful.
How do you make sure there are no metals included in your product. This is a big concern to everyone now. Also, is there research on antioxidant effects from All One and if so, can those results be seen. Thanks.
Hi Diana,
Good question. I am assuming you are referring to ‘heavy metals” like mercury and lead. During the process of making ALL ONE all raw materials are tested and screened for heavy metals prior to being released into production from quarantine.
There are many studies available on the effectiveness of various antioxidants and their positive effect on overall health. We have not conducted studies specific to ALL ONE.
Hi Doug. Does All-One make a prenatal supplement? What do you recommend?
Hi Elaine,
Perhaps congratulations are in order! All the ALL ONE Multiples make great prenatal formulas. However, you should also add an additional 400 mcg of Folic Acid during the pregnancy as the prenatal recommendation is 800 mcg and our multiples contain 400 mcg. You can find 400 mcg Folic Acid tablets at any Health Food store of Pharmacy. Best of luck on your on your new journey. Doug
Hi, I have a 13 and 16 year old – would they take the child or adult formula?
Thanks
I have understood I should take magnesium glycinate at night as a sleep aid, but I heard it can relax the spinchter muscle. Is that true?
I am highly allergic to flax seed, do any of your products not have flax seed??
Hi Mary,
Only our “Totally Fiber” Formula.
All others “Flax free”
Doug Ingoldsby – Founder ALL ONE
All the amino acids listed in ALL ONE are from naturally occurring profiles. In other words, there is protein in ALL ONE formulas. The amino acid profile listed on the label is the amino acids as found naturally occurring in protein. And yes the amino acids you listd are in those profiles.
All the best,

what is the best magnesium to take for absorption? I have have magnesium oxide but I’m not sure that’s the best.
Answer on the front page of our site!
I have a condition the doctors call ‘severe exhaustion’ (not chronic fatigue syndrom). Also, I had a complete hysterectomyin my 30′s. I’m 63 and take bio-identical compounded hormones (E2 1mg / E3 1 mg / TE 1mg)– choosing to leave out E1 due to weight gain implications. I used external progesterone cream (metered) for years and was OK with night sweats. Now the night sweats are profuse. I need your expert advice and insight into these two problems; and what product would help the most. Thank you very much, Carolyn
ALL ONE for Active Seniors is a great multiple formulation for everyone in your age category, I am not a doctor so cannot specifically address your particular medical condition.
My Massage Therapist gave me a sample to try. My question is : How much do I use?
The sample is 0.5 oz. Do you put all the sample in 8 oz of liquid? Please reply. Would like to try the taste and how it makes me feel.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Bev
