There is a new kind of famine sweeping through the nation. We are a nation that is overfed yet undernourished. Our bodies are starving. Why? For most, poor digestion means poor nutrient and vitamin absorption into the body. (See also previous post on nutrient absorption)

There are many socioeconomic and ecological reasons that are contributing to this state of affairs but there is one factor we as individuals can address: Our digestive health. This is a bodily function that has a direct bearing on everyone’s health status. Digestion has got to be one of the most overlooked yet highly taxed functions of the body, demanding an incredible collaboration between organs of all shapes and sizes.

One of the key elements of healthy digestion and in turn a healthy body is how well one is able absorb the nutrients taken in. Without good absorption not only does the ability to efficiently digest food break down but all other areas of the body suffer as well. Our bodies need to maintain a delicate nutritional balance to keep our bodies healthy. It will rob nutrients from less essential areas of the body like the bones if a more important area like the heart requires it.

To be more accurate, the old saying ” You are what you eat” should really be “You are what you absorb.” As a result of the large amounts of processed foods that permeate our daily diets, the body is not getting the basic nutrition it needs to maintain good digestion. This is compounded by the regular stressful lifestyles. This gives rise to a negative feedback loop that sticks us in a rut of poor (eventually declining) health. One of the key ways to break this cycle is with pure, high potency nutrition that your body is able to effortlessly absorb. Many of us immediately turn to a vitamin pill hoping for relief.

Unfortunately, if digestive inefficiency is present, the body will have to work pretty hard to get the nutrition from a hard pellet, if at all. This is where powdered vitamin/mineral supplements shine. The ALL ONE multiple vitamin and mineral powders deliver a high potency easy to absorb solution for the poor digestion. Nutritional powders can help stop the poor digestion cycle in its tracks as the body starts to receive the nutrients it requires to produce stomach acids, create energy from food and keep things moving.

Superior Vitamin Absorption with Powdered Supplements

Why a powder? With no regard to age, sex or gender, compromised digestion and poor nutrition are common factors in most people’s lives. For these individuals nutrient supplementation is often an unfulfilling endeavor. They complain of nausea or maybe they just never feel any different. ALL ONE Supplement powders change all that.
Benefits include:

Easy to digest.

Replaces 15-20 pills.

It is easily mixed with any juice.

It is free of sweeteners, flavors, yeast, gluten or colors.

With the addition of a protein food base and digestive enzymes ALL ONE is formulated for effortless, optimum absorption and effectiveness.

Economics also make ALL ONE powdered supplements more appealing than their tablet and capsule rivals. Encapsulating or forming tablets can increase the cost of most supplements by as much as 70%.

Who can benefit from a powder?
The elderly, kids, teenagers, athletes, Boomers and all of us somewhere in between not to mention 20% of the population that cannot swallow pills. For the nutritionally reluctant, ALL ONE powders can easily be disguised in a great tasting smoothie or protein shake.

Don’t compromise.
The food we eat is more processed then ever before and even the fresh fruits and vegetables are coming up with diminished nutrient content as a result of poor soil management. Chronic health conditions are now acceptable nuisances. This is not a situation we must just accept. Our bodies are amazing machines and will respond and adapt to the nourishment or lack of nourishment we present it. Taking a multivitamin and mineral supplement in powder form is the logical progression from food to pure nutritionals. By nature a tablet is not pure and certainly not natural.

So why compromise and take pills when it is possible to get a high potency multivitamin and mineral in powder form that tastes great, delivering you the nutrition your body needs all day, every day. Whether you are an athlete, a 5-year old child or a 90-year old grandmother, ALL ONE vitamin and mineral powders are the nutritional solution that will help your body achieve and maintain optimum health. Because good health shouldn’t be hard to swallow. If you are what you absorb, not just what you eat, then optimal vitamin absorption is key to your optimal health.

Buy ALL ONE powdered vitamins at your local health food store, or order online >>

What can I do to protect against swine flu?

With flu season upon us, there is lots of scare talk out there right now about the dangers of swine flu. It is true that the center for disease control is monitoring the spread of this new strain of flu called H1N1 and there have been some serious cases reported. So the question becomes: What can I do? The basics are simple: Avoid people who are infected. Wash your hand frequently and often. Stay out of crowded places. If you cannot avoid crowded places, a face mask can also help protect against swine flu.

Is there a Swine Flu Vitamin?

When it comes to fighting disease everyone is always looking for a magic bullet. There is no one particular vitamin that will ward off this or any other strain of flu. However, there are a number of nutrients that can help to boost your immune system. A healthy immune system will fight off infection, and make you a much more unlikely candidate to contract this or any other infectious disease.

The 4 Key Nutrients To Boost Your Immune System

Vitamin A. Vitamin a is extremely effective in fighting infections. Although Vitamin A has received much negative press recently it is an invaluable vitamin for a strong immune system. The only danger of vitamin A toxicity is in extremely large doses taken over an extended period of time. The amounts found in our multiple formulations are very safe and very critical to building a healthy immune system.

Vitamin C. The most popular vitamin vitamin C is also necessary in building a strong immune system. Also, the important vitamin C cofactor Bioflavonoids. Bioflavonoids fill up cell receptor sites so H1N1 flu germs can’t get into your cells and cause infection.

Vitamin E. Supports blood flow and transportation of oxygen to every cell. Vitamin E in the therapeutic doses necessary to be effective (400 IU) must be found in supplements. This is an expensive nutrient so read the label! Many companies will put only 30 IU’s in their products. Not enough to do the trick.

Along with these key vitamins the mineral Zinc is also critical to maintaining a strong and efficient immune system to protect against swine flu.

These are but a few of the nutrients required by the body for a healthy robust immune system.

Strong Immune System = No Swine Flu

It has been verified though numerous studies over the years that good eating habits along with supplementation can go a long way to strengthening the body’s immune system. Even the “father of the germ theory” Louis Pasteur stated that the most virulent, germs can not spread to a human being if that person had a strong immune system.

To protect against Swine flu you need more than these 4 vitamins and one mineral.

There are two (2) very important things we have learned in the many decades our family has been in the supplement business.

One (1): If you are deficient in one nutrient chances are very good you are deficient in many. That is why we focused only on high potency complex multiple formulations.

Two (2): Nutrients work together in concert. Studies repeatedly indicate that when nutrients are combined with other nutrients and food cofactors the effectiveness and assimilation of that nutrient is increased. Vitamin C works better in the presence of citrus bioflavonoids, Calcium when combined with vitamin D and magnesium. B6 effectiveness is markedly increased when found in combination with a balanced array of the other B complex vitamins. The absorption of all minerals is maximized when combined with naturally occurring amino acids which are found in protein.

ALL ONE powdered multiples are the most efficient, easy to take, cost effective mode of administration for supplying your body with the important nutrients it needs to have a robust healthy functioning immune system and a healthy immune system is the best insurance to help protect against infections and viruses like the swine flu.

Vitamin C

Antioxidant functions: As a water-soluble antioxidant, vitamin C is in a unique position to “scavenge” aqueous peroxyl radicals before these destructive substances have a chance to damage lipids. It works along with vitamin E and the enzyme glutathione peroxidase to stop free radical chain reactions.
Immune system function: Vitamin C can enhance the body’s resistance to an assortment of diseases, including infectious disorders and many types of cancer. It strengthens and protects the immune system by stimulating the activity of antibodies and immune system cells such as phagocytes and neutrophils.
Other processes: Vitamin C contributes to a variety of other biochemical functions. These include the biosynthesis of the amino acid carnitine and the catecholamines that regulate the nervous system. It also helps the body to absorb iron and to break down histamine, the inflammatory component of many allergic reactions.

How much for antioxidant activity: Free radical pathology may occur when the body’s antioxidant mechanisms cannot keep pace with the rate at which free radicals and other oxidants are being formed. To supply the body with enough antioxidant power, R.F. Cathcart, a clinical practitioner who has treated patients with vitamin C, believes each person should take the vitamin up to his or her “bowel tolerance” level. Simply put, this is the level just below the daily dosage that would cause you to have diarrhea. The more severe the toxicity from oxygen radicals, the more vitamin C one can tolerate.
